A typical fast-paced western lifestyle can throw body systems out of optimal balance, leaving people dependent or addicted to various substances helping them to get by their days. Often due to chronic poor sleep quality and high-stress levels, many would indulge in stimulating substances like caffeine during the daytime. To then downregulate with alcohol or drugs at night to ‘help’ them unwind. Nowadays, this is considered a norm. But when we ignore the natural laws that apply to all biological organisms on this earth, ultimately, we are going to pay the price in a form of:
